Hey there, I’m Mbalu, pronounced Ba-lu; the M in my name is silent. But everyone calls me Lu for short. I’m the owner of Fotografia by Fornah-Delo and the woman behind the lens. Welcome to my online portfolio.

I’ve been a freelance photographer and videographer for 4+ years. Focusing in on my subjects’ inner emotions and feelings. What I like to call “Stealing Priceless Moments of the SOUL”.

For me this came about in 2019, when I began to lose family members to old age, illnesses and unfortunately COVID-19. Each family members’ home going affected me differently. Turning my hobby into a passion, capturing every moment with my loved ones, all the time! In hindsight, I think back to moments I wish I captured. Sometimes memories and stories just aren’t enough. There is something truly fulfilling about freezing an expression or warm feeling from the soul and being able to look back on it. I believe everyone should have these moments. My goal behind the lens is to capture moments in time that will forever speak to the SOUL. Allowing the viewer to relive each moment, smile, tear, and gesture like their right there.

My work covers a wide range of areas from special moments (1st birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, weddings) to portraits and product photography. & videography Whatever, the situation I aim to please and deliver consistency:

  • Cinematography this might involve capturing the tone behind the scenes of a shoot and the creation of short films.
